Great picture...the little fish looks pretty big to me...
Scott, they're both big fish compared to the people who caught them!
Scott, what a great shot!! Encouraging our younger generation to aspire to bigger fish!!
That big fish reminds me of the first time I went deep sea fishing with my dad. I had begged from the time I was about 9 years old to go out on the party boat with him. But the boat owner would take no one less than twelve years of age. Finally, when I turned 11, I had been so persistent with the begging over the years, the owner relented and allowed me to go along. My dad always fished starboard side of the boat. But, I was adventurous, and went over to the otherside and stood with some fishermen there. I had no sooner lowered my line, when something that felt huge jumped on it. . .All I could do was pull that pole to my chest, get wide eyed, and look at the man next to me and say, "Heeeellllp"
He told me what to do, aided me a bit, and I reeled in a 16 pound Ling Cod. He wasn't as big as the one in your picture - but for me, he was certainly big enough:-)
Pat, Brian, & June,
When I first started to take him fishing, I never really counted on getting in much fishing myself. My time was spent baiting hooks, getting lures out of trees, and hopefully taking his fish off of the hook. He pretty much does all of that on his own now and my only worry is whether he'll grab the bragging rights with the biggest or most fish.

Myrl,
Great story. Some of my best childhood memories are of days fishing with my dad. Hopefully, I've managed to pass on a few such memories for my kids.

Hello Scott, what a great pairing! Looks like both guys had a lot of fun too! Thanks. John
Nice Catch! I did not have a good season at all...I was ok with it until I saw this!
