Tell me who admires and loves you, and I will tell you who you are.

~Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Today I bent the truth to be kind, and I have no regret,

for I am far surer of what is kind than I am of what is true.

~Robert Brault

One can never pay in gratitude; one can only pay "in kind" somewhere else in life.

~Anne Morrow Lindbergh

People were created to be loved.  Things were created to be used.  The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.  ~Dalai Lama

We are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love.

~Sigmund Freud

Patience is the companion of wisdom  ~Saint Augustine

A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

~Antoine de Saint-Exupery

No one imagines that a symphony is supposed to improve as it goes along, or that the whole object of playing is to reach the finale. The point of music is discovered in every moment of playing and listening to it. It is the same, I feel, with the greater part of our lives, and if we are unduly absorbed in improving them we may forget altogether to live them.  ~Alan Watts

We do not remember days….we remember moments.  ~Cesare Pavese

I'm involved in new construction and renovation projects. I expect the contractors to deliver as promised and hold them to account. When things go 'south' I drive those same individuals to execute a recovery plan. When those contractors do recover from a setback I always make a point of broadcasting my thanks to them, their crews and copying the clients too. Saying thanks never grows 'old' and it's always appreciated.
